It depends on how you’re using them, and what price they are. If you’re a low-mileage driver, then it’s almost always best to go with petrol, and if you’re a high-mileage driver then you may be better off with diesel, but you need to get your calculator out and do some thinking about how you will use the car to work out the best value.
