Looking to sell my Mazda MX-5.
I have an mx5 automatic 1992 roadster, 224000miles on the clock. In very good working order. How much do you think it is worth to sell privately and how much is it worth as a trade in against a 12k alpha guillietta car?

Everything here is going to depend on the condition of the car. Values for the original Mk1 MX-5, with the pop-up headlights, have been creeping up lately, but the fact that yours is an automatic, and therefore an imported Eunos model from Japan, will count against it a little. The cars that make good money are original Irish or UK cars in immaculate condition. That said, if yours is in top nick, then it could be worth as much as €3,000, but I would imagine a dealer will bid you closer to €1,500 or even €1,000 as it’s very much a specialist car with a small market.
