I am looking for a used car that comfortably fits 3 child car seats. I am open to buying a 7 seater but it isn't essential. My budget is around 20k with a trade in worth around 4k. I don't want a car older than 3 years old. My main requirement in the car is reliability - I've been looking at Peugeot 5008s, Toyota Versos and Ford S Maxs but would be grateful to get advice. Thanks
Hi Cormac,
If reliability and fitting in three seats are your priorities then the Toyota Verso is the one to go for. Not the most exciting car in the world, but as reliable as it gets and very roomy. Volkswagen Touran and Kia Carens also worth a look. As for more conventional cars, it’s a tricky one, and it depends on the seats you’re trying to fit in and how wide they are. Try a SEAT Leon ST estate – that has quite a wide rear bench, but take along your seats (and your kids!) for the test drive to make sure everyone fits in comfortably.
