There’s no one particular time to buy, as the second hand market in Ireland is pretty stable for most of the year. Obviously, there are small peaks and troughs where values can be affected, but on the whole, unless you’re buying something specialist, such as a convertible, timing isn’t that crucial. As for the age, I would worry less about that than the service history and overall condition of the car in question. An older car that’s been better cared-for is a better bet than one that’s a year younger but has been kicked around. The good thing is that Lexus tend to be incredibly reliable and solidly built, so you’re off to a good start.
