We are looking to get a suzuki sx4 2016 1.6l benzin car. It should have a timing chain but when should this be changed, or does it last a lifetime? Or perhaps anything else we need to be aware of when inspecting the car?
Hi Christian,
It does indeed have a timing chain. It was designed to last the lifetime of the engine.
Watch out for signs of damp anywhere, as the sunroof can leak. Make sure the car doesn't cut out when it comes to a stop as that can mean an issue with the ECU and listen out for strange noises from the brakes as there have been issues with them. It's mostly a reliable car, though.
