Hi. We are looking to trade in our 08 Toyota auris for something more family friendly as we have a toddler and also a baby due in New year. so obviously good boot space and rear seating space. We are looking at maybe a qashquai 2015 or kadjar 16 or hyundai ix35. which would you recommend based on reliability and practicality? is there anything else you would suggest in 2015 or 2016 model? are Octavia or Peugeot worth considering?
Hi Tom,
Well, as a fellow parent, I always think that it’s better to look at a mid-size estate rather than an SUV for a family car. I know, the SUVs are more fashionable, but the estates are actually the better cars. You’ll get lower prices, lower running costs and usually more space inside. Have a look at the Skdoa Octavia Combi, VW Golf Estate, or indeed the Toyota Auris Sport Tourer if you’ve been happy with your existing car. All have massive boots, so they’re perfect for hauling all the kids’ stuff around.
