Looking for small petrol/hybrid car...
Hi, planning to buy a small hatchback petrol/hybrid car (1L-1.4L) where annual mileage will be approx. 8000km-10,000km including Motorway. Budget is €8000-€11,000 but looking for a used car with near today level technology, dependable engine and impressive economy. Coud you please give me top 5 models that may fit the bill. I don't mind the make and model but road tax shall not be more than €270. Thanks in advance. Rory

Petrol models is easy – you don’t even need to go back to anything older than a 171, as the Skoda Citigo/SEAT Mii/Volkswagen Up triumvirate, the Toyota Aygo/Peugeot 108/Citroen C1 models and the Hyundai i10/Kia Picanto are all in your ballpark and all fit your bill. The hybrid bit immediately pushes prices up and sees you looking at slightly older cars, around the 2014 era, but try either a Honda Jazz Hybrid or a Honda Insight, or a Toyota Yaris Hybrid.
