Looking for decent petrol car...
I'm looking to change car, I have a 2011 diesel Focus 76k miles (UK Import) would have approx €5k cash to add to the deal. Looking for a petrol car for shortish work communtes and occasion trips from Cork to belfast 4 per year approx. any suggestions?

I'd say you'll have in and around the €12-14,000 to spend in total then, with the Focus and €5k. How about a Honda Civic 1.4, current shape? That budget should get you into a 2012 or a 2013 model. It has reasonable emissions so won't kill you on tax, nor fuel consumption come to that, and it's more than long-legged enough for that Cork-Belfast run. Super-reliable too.
