Looking for BIK details for a Ford Ranger...
Hello, For benefit in kind, is a Ford Ranger with 2 rows of seats (5 seats in total) considered a van, or a car? It has a payload of over 1,000kg. The emissions are 241g/km. The gross vehicle weight is 3,270kg Have you any guidance on where to search for the Original Market Value, as we are buying a second hand vehicle? Thanks for your help

Hi Martina,
For the OMV, you will need to find how much the truck was when new. SIMI publishes new car pricing each year and retains that information for future use so hopefully you can find the information within that.
Unfortunately, due to the seating, the Ranger will be taxed for BIK purposes as a car, using its CO2 rating to place it in the highest band. The payload and weight of the truck do not change that.
