Hi there I’m looking for a Honda Civic ek and it has to be 1.6
Hi John,
The sixth-generation ‘EK’ Honda Civic was built from 1996 to 2000, but although it’s old, it’s a survivor – it is a Honda, when all’s said and done. At the moment, there are just two examples of the EK showing on our website, both of which are €500; but neither uses the 1.6-litre engine. Therefore, you might need to look over the water to the UK. We found eight Civics from the 1996-2000 era with 1.6-litre engines, but a few of these were the five-door model based on the Rover 400 of the time – and, technically, these are known as MA/MB/MC Civics. Thus, you’re looking specifically for the three-door Civic of the time, which is a desirable car, despite its age – a couple of plain examples of the 1.6 VTI-S, in either hatch or saloon form, are around £4,000 (€4,600). There was one Civic Jordan on Autotrader UK, for £9,000 (€10,350), and a modified EK9 Type R track car, for around £8,000 (€9,200). Bear in mind you would need to pay any import duties and VRT on these UK vehicles, which will add to the price. Good luck with your search!
