Electric or Hybrid aside I have decided that my next car has to be automatic. I do very little mileage about 5,000km a year but I am driving for 43 years so I want to go automatic before I need to. The new Hyundai Kona has the transmission shift on the steering column which I find attractive rather than having to reach into the centre console for a button. Does any other car have the same system as the new Kona Hybrid/or electric.
Hi Paul,
You've not mentioned your budget, but lots of EVs now have their drive selectors elsewhere. For example, the Volkswagen ID. cars have a twist selector mounted up on the dashboard, as does the Cupra Born. Sticking with Hyundai, both the Ioniq 5 and 6 use the same concept as the Kona you mentioned.
All automatic Mercedes use a similar idea, regardless of what's under the bonnet.
