Looking for a small car for €2,000.
Hi, can you advise please on a small B Segment petrol car for a budget of €2,000, ideally no older than 2008/9. Currently looking into a Honda Jazz or Nissan Note. Are there other models to consider? e.g. are Opel Corsa, Peugeot 207 and Seat Ibiza reliable at that price range? Aside from reliability, the only other requirement is that it has rear folding seats. Hi Tony,
Go for the Jazz. Far be it from us to cast aspersions on the non-Japanese cars you’ve listed, but if you’re on a budget like this then you’ve got much better odds of a Honda or Nissan being more dependable than the European alternatives. A Jazz of that age is more interesting and likeable than a Note, and if you want one more possibility then you might be lucky and find an early Hyundai i10 for such cash – although they are more likely to be in the €3,500 ballpark.
