Money no object, the best vehicle to fit this bill is the Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid. A vast seven-seat SUV, it’s absolutely gorgeous outside and in, and has some impressive on-paper stats that make it cheap to tax and run… provided you plug it in to charge regularly. Also, the T8 (launched in 2015) is/was not a cheap car, so bear that in mind when searching for them, either used or nearly new.
