We are in the market for a new family car that is low maintenance, fits 2 car seats plus one booster seat and preferably be in €20k-€25k range. We do very little mileage, we currently do one round trip of about two miles to creche daily with some rare longer drives at the weekend. We would consider hybrid/electric as we drive so little but in the end it will come down to price so if we can get what we want in a petrol model then we would go for that. We don’t need Bells&whistles just reliability.
Hi Andrew,
I think your best bet is to go for a nearly-new Toyota Prius, or if you need the extra space for the kids, a Prius+ MPV. That gets you the hybrid powertrain you want, plenty of space and comfort, endless reliability and excellent residual values. Also well worth looking at a Kia Niro too.
