You need a diesel seven-seat SUV or MPV and you could do a lot worse than two French motors. If a few of your children are younger, and therefore smaller, the superb Peugeot 5008 (SUV) would be an ideal choice, especially with petrol power for your low mileage, but if they’re all older the rear row of seats might be too cramped. In which case, look at the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (MPV), renamed the Citroen Grand C4 Spacetourer in early 2018. It’s one of the best family cars there is.
