Looking for a high-spec hatch.
Hi, I'm looking to buy a hatchback with a high spec. Budget is €10-12k and hoping for 2012 or newer. Will be making longer trips for work in the next 12 months so need to upgrade my 13yo civic. Any suggestions of what I should be looking at? Thanks.

Well, if you like your current Civic, it’s well worth considering trading up to a newer model. The just-replaced Civic was a terrific car to drive, frugal (especially the 1.6 diesel) and spacious and comfy too. Plus, Hondas tend to be better equipped as standard than rivals, so there are usually a few more creature comforts. Other good options are a Volkswagen Golf in Highline spec, or a BMW 1 Series if cabin space isn’t a priority.
