I am looking at (buying) a 2012 1.6 diesel kia ceed with 95k miles and want to know if it is a decent buy. MOT'd to Jan 20 with FSH but number of owners is unknown. Any advice / feedback would be welcome. Thanks
Hi Fidelma,
That age of Kia Ceed is a fine, budget run-around. Sounds like it has a decent history and is in good condition, although it’s odd that the number of owners isn’t known – is it a UK import, as you mentioned an MoT (and not an NCT)? That might explain it. The 1.6 CRDi engine from that year is a little bit uncultured by modern standards, and the Kia isn’t exciting to drive, but it is reliable, spacious, well-equipped and comfortable, and – providing the price is right – there’s no reason to avoid it.
