Looking at buying a 2010 Legacy.
Was looking at buying a 2010 subaru legacy diesel previous model how common is crankshaft failure as I've read about this problem with some early models?

It’s not a common issue, so we wouldn’t be too worried about it. Subaru has an excellent reputation for reliability, so as long as you buy with a full service history, there shouldn’t be any major problems.
