Depends on the engine fitted to each, but the most economical Kia Optima, the 1.7 CRDi, can do around 67mpg (4.2 litres/100km), whereas a front-wheel-drive Audi A5 2.0 TDI can achieve 68.9mpg, or 4.1 litres/100km.
