I've had to change my car's odometer...

Do i have to inform the NCT test if I change odometer Because miles will be different,

Our answer:

Hi Pauline,

No, you don't have to inform the NCTS of this. However, it is obliged to record the mileage on the odometer at the time of the test so there will be discrepancies that you will need to explain to the next person you sell the car to. I suggest that you keep all the paperwork for the odometer change so you can prove that the car was not 'clocked'.
