Hi , please can someone advise. I have a 181 hyundai i30. When it hit 15k "eco" mode came onto the car. After looking in the manual , theres nothing about i30 mention in the manual and was told my model should not have this feature. Ive brought it to Hyundai garage recently and they are basically trying to fob every other answer bar why my car has this mode. And to add insult to it they are now saying my clutch needs to be replaced ( 39k) on car. The eco mode wont let me pass 100k and revs and
Hi Ciara,
First up, while it's unusual to need a new clutch after just 39,000km, it is, unfortunately, usually down to how the car is driven, so I'm afraid you're unlikely to get any assistance with that and if it is actual clutch wear, as opposed to a clutch fault, it would not normally be covered by warranty.
The other issue you have is unusual. It sounds to us that the car is in one of Hyundai's driving modes that are selectable on some models. Have a good look around the cabin and within the digital menu systems for any mention of driving mode or Eco or similar and you may be able to change it. I'm a little surprised that the Hyundai garage couldn't assist you with that, however. Failing that, contact Hyundai customer service direct at [email protected].
