Is varying revs normal in an Avensis?
Hi, I just bought Toyota avensis 2009 new shape 1.6 petrol. Now when i am stanigd on any traffic light and the engine is on, some time it automatically gives a bit of acceleration, is that normal? like when standing the normal rpm is less than 2 but suddenly car automatically increases it and then comes back to normal rpm when standing. is that normal?

It's not unusual behaviour, but may suggest that your alternator or battery are not in great condition, as the car's brain may be asking for more revs to provide more electrical power through the alternator.
