As a family car and with that mileage, a Nissan Qashqai 1.2-litre petrol would be OK to use as you’re well below the approximate annual mileage threshold where we normally recommend a switch to diesel. However, check that mileage – if a 2017 Qashqai 1.2 has done 170,000km, it may have had a hard life and you’d be better off trying to source a lower-mileage example.
