Is a 153000 miles on a 142 1.6 diesel golf worrying mileage
Hi Tom,
That’s not so much worrying mileage, more like impressive. It means the Golf has covered on average 39,000 miles per annum! However, the latest Golf is a reliable car and provided the 1.6-litre diesel engine has been looked after throughout its life, then it should be able to soak up such long-distance punishment. If the car looks clean and is well-maintained with a sheaf of paperwork and every service stamp in the book, then it could be worth a punt – provided the price is acceptably lower than the average for a 142-plate Golf.
