Is this a common Ateca issue?
Hi shane,I was considering to purchase a seat atteca 2016 model as an upgrade from a 2008 zafira.one of the lads at work bought a brand new atteca in 2016 and I was very impressed,but after a conversation with him he tells me the water pump has to be replaced and the cooling system was damaged by a small stone on the front grill,as his warranty is just gone earlier in the year this is going to cost him at least a thousand euro.has this become an issue with the seat atteca cars,many thanks majella

You've described a scenario that could happen to any car at all, with a stone damaging the radiator, leading to other cooling system issues. I would never expect such a thing to be covered under warranty and would not worry about it as a reason to avoid the Ateca.
