Is the Peugeot 3008 good for our family?
Hi Shane, I was trading in my Ford Focus Cmax 1.6 petrol 2005 with 105000kms. Our family just purchased the a 131 Peugeot 3008 Active 1.6 HDI Desiel with 35000kms asking price €15995 Trade in - €2250 for Cmax Paid €13245 Plus First year Road Tax Free Michael Grant Motors, - guaranteed us that they will NCT when its required in 2017 Do you think this is good deal for our family of 3? Is there anything I need to watch out for in the 3008 model? Thank you for all your advice, really helpful.

That all sounds like a good deal, just make sure you get that NCT promise in writing and that it will cover everything on the car, not just major components.
As for the 3008, it's a solid car - you just need to make sure that the 1.6 diesel gets a steady diet of high quality oil, keep an eye on the water and oil pumps (the water pump breaks, the oil pump leaks) and make sure you keep an eye on the timing belt too, which needs changing every 130,000km, but it's best to have it inspected for any possible issues every year.
