Is the new Sorento economical?
I am considering leasing a 2018 Kia Sorento auto. Mpg is important to me - I do a high mileage, mostly A roads and motorway. I'd be interested in getting feedback on typical mpg other Sorento users get - and not just the displayed mpg - proper measured statistics.

We can’t be sure what other Sorento owners are getting, but in our experience with the Sorento, you should expect 35-40mpg in daily driving, depending on how you drive it. Mind you, the automatic will add a bit of extra thirst to the equation (although not as much as on previous Sorento models) so it may be worth considering a manual if economy is your biggest concern.
