Yes, really good. It's not quite as economical or as cheap to tax as the closely-related Hyundai i40, but it’s handsome, hugely spacious and very comfy. Mind you, if you’re buying new, hold off a tic – there’s an all-new Optima arriving in November, so you might want to wait. Or use the fact of its impending arrival to score yourself a better deal.
