Yes it is, as long as it has an impeccable history, drives smoothly and the price is right. Watch for a clogged diesel particulate filter, which manifests as rough idling or a loss of power during acceleration (and usually a persistent DPF warning light) or a worn turbo, which will show itself as excessive white or blue smoke on cold start-up or during heavy acceleration. Other than that, it’s a reliable, dependable car.
