Yes they're actually very good but you do need to keep an eye out for some common faults. The interiors can be a bit fragile so look for detaching trim and check carefully to make sure that all of the electrical bits are working properly. The 1.6 diesel engine has a few well known problems (water pump, exhaust gas recirculation) but if it's been properly serviced and (this is the crucial bit) a proper, high-grade engine oil has been used for top-ups, then it should be fine.
