Hi I have an 08 Audi Q7 s line Quatro would it be suitable for pulling a horse box or would it not be recommended
Hi John,
The Q7 is ideal for towing, thanks to having four-wheel-drive traction and a high maximum towing weight of ups to 3,500kg on a braked trailer. But, you need to be careful here — the car itself weighs 2,295kg at the kerb so you’ve only got a spare 1,205kg for the horses and the box before you’re over the maximum 3,500kg limit for a Category B driver's licence. If the combined weight of the car, trailer and load is above 3,500kg then you’ll need a Category BE licence to stay on the right side of the law.
