In general, yes, the RS has a solid reputation, as does the Octavia in general. As it's a sportier car than normal it's worth getting it thoroughly inspected to ensure it has not been abused, and of course, insist on a full and detailed service history. Make sure all the warning lights work and then go off again once the car is running - especially the DPF light if it's the diesel model you are looking at. Finally, it's worth investing in a Cartell.ie history check to ensure that there is no outstanding finance and that the car has not been written off.
