I bought a new hyundai i20 in february. Checked the oil lever yesterday and i was suprised to find the oil level near the min on dipstick.went back to where i bought car and they topped it up with oil. They told me that that the car would use some oil at first but would settle down after its first service and i might need to add some oil before then . What do you think
Hi John,
It is normal for a new car to burn a little oil when it’s running in, and that’s why many car makers build in a low-miles ‘oil service’ inspection into their schedule. Keep an eye on it, and if the oil burn persists, get it checked out.
