Yes, retail, your car is worth around €11,500 to €12,500, but dealers always knock a chunk off for trade-in, as they want to sell your car back on at a profit for themselves, once you’ve driven away in a shiny new motor. However, €8,000 is probably a bit too low; anything like €9,500 would have been more appropriate.
