i have Nissan X trail 2009 model. When i put on hydraulic jack and put on driver mode ( 2 wheel drive) all the 4 wheels is seems engaged. My concern, is this normally 24 wheels engaged in 2 wheel drive. Pls advice
Hi Siva,
The X-Trail's four-wheel-drive system sometimes uses 4WD, even when you have selected the 2WD mode, usually only on start-up when traction is low. Jacking the car up is not a normal situation for the car, so I am not surprised to hear it is engaging all four wheels. In normal operation, the 2WD mode will be just that.
