Is my Corolla making strange sounds?
Hi I have a 2008 Corolla, accelerating at the 1500rpm mark there is a growl sound which disappears once past 1500rpm. What could cause this and is it normal for the model?

Hi Paul,
It's very difficult to give good advice about sounds from afar, though your description makes it sound as if something is different about the intake system of that car. Perhaps the air filter element is missing, or the car has been fitted with a free-flow induction kit. Best bet is to take it along to a good mechanic if you have any doubts.
