Is it worth changing a BMW's engine?
I'm looking at bmw 520d that is in great condition body/interior etc with high spec at a great price bcse of high mileage. My question is how much would it be to put a new engine in? Because it's at such a great price my thinking is if it's not too expensive to replace engine I could have a high spec 520d for less than I could buy one with same spec and low mileage?? Tnx

Hi Colm,
While the price for that work will vary considerably from garage to garage, and the cost of the engine itself won't be insignificant, we would not advise doing this as it's likely to end up costing a lot more in the long run and other electrical issues could be introduced in the changeover.
