Is a diesel Fluence ok for town use?

1 am about to buy a2012 1.5 d renault fluence. most of my journeys are around town. will i have dpf issues?

Our answer:

Hi Finbarr,

We'd highly recommend that you don't buy a diesel car for use in town. It's impossible to say with any certainty that the DPF will clog up, but there is a high chance of that, along with items such as the EGR valve. At that price point, you're better off with a petrol or hybrid car.
