I am looking to buy a Peugeot 508 2011 with 200,000km mileage, is that advisable. Diesel engine to be precise
Hi there,
This won’t be a problem – PROVIDED the car has a full, impeccable service history and a stack of receipts for you to look through. At that sort of mileage, you want to check the turbo has been replaced, because if it hasn’t, it might be getting tired. A sure sign of this is white smoke from the exhaust during either cold start-up or under hard acceleration; any sign of thise whatsoever and you need to walk away and find another car.
