Is170,000 miles on a Audi A5 Quattro 2008 too high. Would cost me £8,500

No, it’s not too high as long as the car has been looked after. If it has a full service history (preferably with an Audi main dealer) and is clearly in good nick then it should be fine. If there are gaps in the history and or the car looks obviously scruffy then be wary.
