Is 100k km ok for a Mondeo?

Looking into buying a 2013 Ford Mondeo and it’s done 104,000 kms. Is that too many for a second hand Ford? Any known mechanical issues after 100km?

Our answer:

Hi Shanika,

No, that’s actually about average mileage for a Mondeo of that age – and, provided it has been looked after during its previous owners’ tenure of it, then there are no known problems that arise simply as a result of the car having done 104,000km. You need to assess its condition, its service history and its price carefully, and then – if all of these are OK – take the plunge. It’s a good car, the Mondeo.
