I'm moving to Edinburgh...
Can you give advise about moving to Edinburgh and buying a car there e.g. names of car dealers, insurance companies and motor tax. If I sell my car in Ireland first will that affect my no claims bonus if there is a gap insuring the new car? Just with Brexit I am not sure what I have to be aware of. I have a 07 Toyota Yaris here and think it might be better to sell this here than bring it across?

First up, we'd recommend selling your car in Ireland before you leave. It'll be far simpler. It shouldn't affect your no claims bonus so long as the gap isn't too long. You could call one of the prominent UK car insurance companies to check that detail.
