I'm looking at buying a new Fiesta.
Hi, I'm looking at purchasing a new Fiesta. Is the 1.25 underpowered with only 60hp output? Also what is the power of the 1.0 EcoBoost and are you aware of problems with it?

Hi Mick,
The basic 1.0 EcoBoost engine has 65hp, so it's not much more powerful than the old 1.25, but it is a sweeter, smoother engine to drive so you'll find it more pleasant when pushing it.
To be honest, you're better off by far to upgrade, if funds allow, to the 100hp EcoBoost Turbo. That has some proper poke.
We haven't heard of any major reported problems with the EcoBoost engine - but then it's quite new yet, so there hasn't been much time for problems to shake down through the market.
