Iam shipping my old 1979 mgb I have owned for the last 7 years it’s rust free and looks ok and runs great coming into Ireland Iam a permanent resident what do Ihave to pay when it arrives Thanks Bob King

Hi Bob,
If you owned the car abroad for that time - and can prove it - then you shouldn't have any VRT, VAT or duty costs to pay bringing the car with you to Ireland, assuming you're moving here permanently. It's called Transfer or Residence by Revenue. More on that here.
