I'm American and I want to buy a car on PCP...
I am an American citizen who is coming to Ireland on a work permit. I will not have a PPS number until I am able to register as a resident and then submit my PPS application. Can I obtain a vehicle under a PCP agreement without a PPS number? I'd like to get a car as soon as possible to avoid paying car hire fees. I will have an American license and have been working with an insurance company to make sure I can insure the car. Any help you can offer is much appreciated. Thank you! Sincerely, Alyssa Dodson

I don't think that the lack of a PPS number will be your issue here, but lack of an Irish credit history might. If you can prove that you're financially sound, then you may find a lender willing to accommodate you.
