I'd like some 1 Series advice.
Hi There, I'd like to get some advice on BMW 1series SE. I am interested in buying between a 131 to 161 standard model, urban driving so petrol is preferred. There are a range of options widely priced (i.e. 161 priced at 13,965) would be good to get an idea of what figures I need to look at. Thanks in advance

Hi Michelle,
You’re pretty much doing this all right as it is, and you’ll be looking at cars in the €15,000 ballpark. It might seem like newer is better for your money, but actually the 116i used a 1.6-litre 134hp engine up until 2015, when it became a 107hp three-cylinder 1.5. That might be borderline for town driving, because it’s not a lot of power at all, so try and go for an earlier 116i, or stretch to the 118i. We’d advocate an automatic model in SE trim for the best possible city manners.
