I’m afraid I’m the bearer of some bad news. The trade-in value of a 2011 Focus, depending on the condition and service history, is going to be around €7-8,000 at best. The best I can advise is to try and scrape together the cash to pay down as much of the loan as possible, preferably clear it entirely, before trading it in, but you’re going to need to be realistic about your expectations I’m afraid. And most definitely go and talk to your accountant, bank manager, or financial adviser about what’s the best course of action to take.
