I want a premium compact car...
Am buying a new automatic small car, want sat nav, heated leather seats, 5 door hatchback. What is the beast value for money between BMW, Audi, golf, Volvo? Currently have a manual BMW 1 series with drive flat tyres.

Almost without question, the answer here is a Golf. With the other brands, you’re paying a (fairly pointless) premium for a shiny badge, but the Golf has all of the space, quality and equipment you could need. Get a Highline model with either the 1.2-litre or 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engines, and the DSG automatic gearbox.
