I need to purchase a reliable five-door...
Hi . I need to purchase a new reliable 5 door car . I have no means of deposit . I jst have a 1999 Audi A3 for trade or to exchange for deposit. I wanted to know my options ? The Audi is worth about 600 sterling . It’s an Northern reg . And I don’t want to be paying a lot each week . The car jst needs to be new so low maintenance and tax and reliable and good in winter weather for travelling to work .

OK, there’s some good news. Your car will definitely qualify for one of the ‘scrappage’ trade-in boosters currently on offer, and doubly so if it’s an old diesel. I assume, when you say five-door car, that you mean a family-sized hatchback? If so, why not look at a SEAT Leon? Excellent value for money, SEAT does have a scrappage deal in place and has some very good PCP and finance deals too. Plus it’s a really good all-round car, comfy, safe, spacious and it’ll be just fine in the nasty winter weather. Go for the 1.2 TSI petrol engine.
