OK, but do you also need to carry people in the back seats at the same time? If so, then an external bike rack is probably your best bet. If not, then any decent-sized estate car will do the job (Mondeo, Passat, Mazda6, Skoda Superb and Toyota Avensis are the best ones to look for) but I’d still advise getting some sort of internal rack to which the bikes can be attached, just to keep them from moving around too much.
